TriSolaria (“we”, “us”) is an art gallery — a collection of configurable physics-and-audio pieces by Maxim Nawangwe. Visitors can browse and watch any piece; signed-in users can fork a piece, configure it, and publish their own remix. This policy describes what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Data we collect

We keep the dataset deliberately small.

  • Account information — managed by our authentication provider, Clerk. When you sign up, Clerk stores your email address, an authentication identifier, and (if you choose to provide it) your display name and profile photo. If you sign in via a third-party provider such as Google, that provider returns your name, email, and profile picture URL — we do not request anything beyond standard sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile).
  • Scene data — when you create or edit a scene, we store its title, description, parameter values, draft/published status, and a reference to the parent scene if it’s a fork. Scene rows reference your account by Clerk’s user ID.
  • Operational logs — our hosting provider records request metadata (timestamp, IP, user agent, response code) for standard reliability and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not run our own analytics or behavioural-tracking systems.

We do not collect payment information, browsing history outside of TriSolaria, or any biometric data.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and authenticate your account.
  • To attribute scenes you create and let you edit, fork, publish, or delete them.
  • To send you transactional email related to your account (e.g. email verification, password reset). We do not send marketing email.
  • To diagnose abuse, debug failures, and keep the service running.

3. Service providers we share data with

Some of your data is processed by third-party services we rely on. Each is bound by their own data-processing terms.

  • Clerk (clerk.com) — manages authentication, sessions, and user profile data. Clerk acts as the source of truth for your login and profile.
  • Supabase (supabase.com) — our managed PostgreSQL database, where scene data lives.
  • Microsoft Azure — hosts the application servers and container registry that run TriSolaria.
  • GoDaddy — registrar / DNS provider for trisolaria.com.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google; Google supplies your basic profile to us via standard OAuth scopes.

We never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties for advertising or profiling.

4. Cookies and similar technology

TriSolaria uses authentication cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in. These are required for the site to function and contain only the session identifiers needed for that purpose. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Public content

Scenes you choose to publish are visible to all visitors at a shareable URL. The published state contains the scene’s title, description, parameters, and an attribution to your display name. Drafts are private and only you can see them.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as the account exists. If you delete your account, your published scenes are unpublished, your draft scenes are deleted, and your account record is removed within 30 days. Operational logs roll off automatically based on the hosting provider’s retention policy (typically 30 days).

7. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. For account and profile data, the controls live in your Clerk-managed user profile. For scene data, you can edit or delete each scene directly in the studio. To request a full export or full deletion in one shot, write to us at the address below and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you live in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA — contact us and we will honour them.

8. Children

TriSolaria is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page and, when we have a way to reach you (e.g. you’re signed in and we have your email), via direct notification.

10. Contact
